I’m sure everyone is watching the amazing rescue of the 33 miners in Chile. I am not just amazed at the rescue, but at how they survived for 69 days, a half-mile under the earth! My goodness, what faith these men must have! And if there was one (or two, or three) who didn’t have […]

VIA: TheUrbanDaily.com We brought you the information about the man who tattooed the Gucci logo on his face.  Seems like he has some copycats.  This chick has tatooed the logo on her butt. Not cool! Check out some other awful tats  below. RELATED: A Brief History Of Gucci’s Appeal In Hip-Hop

We all know what it is like to have a spat with the one you love.  It seems these two found out really early in life.  This is too cute!

It was 1998 or 1999 and I was in the ricka sto (where they sell Sam Cooke albums) with my linesister and I picked up a CD by an unknown named Jill Scott.  The title of the album was “Who Is Jill Scott?” and I really was wondering.  The CD was only $6.99 so I […]

The Commonwealth of VA is doing its thing in the music industry right now.Outside of the success of rappers/producers Pharell, Missy Elliott and Timbaland, VA is producing some R&B hot boyz. R&B sensation Trey Songz has had an amazing run the past couple of years.  Songz hit it big in 2009 with the release of […]

Sunshine Anderson is back in the lab working on new music for what will be her third studio album (release date November 2).  Her latest track is “Lie To Kick It,” a woman’s anthem of sorts that tells the men, “you ain’t got to lie to kick it.” It reminds me of my favorite song […]

I have been a fan of Chrisette Michele since her first album “I Am.” I loved the entire album and was probably responsible for a good share of the album sales for that project (I was constantly referring people to Target to cop that). While I liked her sophomore album “Epiphany” I felt like Ms. […]

VIA: TheUrbanDaily.com I will confess. I am a label whore. I love labels and I am hooked on bad bags.  I also love my people (black people) because we take things to another level at all times.  I love our creativity and resourcefulness. All that to say, I can’t co-sign on some foolishness.  Seems like […]

VIA: HuffingtonPost.com Charlie Alderman, a student at Wesleyan and contributor to HuffingtonPost.com, took analogies to another level with his list If Rappers Were Colleges. Alderman assigned rappers to a school and described the rapper … and thus the school.  The list is hilarious.  Some of my personal favorites were: 50 Cent: Duke – So fun […]

One of my favorite songs of all time is Pretty Brown Eyes by Mint Condition.  The song reminds me of my sophomore year in high school.  It would come on every afternoon as my cousin drove me less than 2 miles down the street home from school.  The car would be filled with the scent […]

We didn't take it back too far this Friday. Just back to 2007, when Miss Kelly hit the scene hard with the first single from her second solo album. "Like This" bumped then and it still bumps. The song gives us the sassy, independent and ultra sexy Kelly. I love putting this on when I'm getting ready for a big meeting, to go out or when I need a little boost of confidence. It's a braggadocious song that just oozes all the right things.
