Are you a rude dater? Most people would say no but then again some people may not even realize when they are being rude in their every day lives not to mention while on a date.  Check out these dating no-no’s and feel free to add your own.

1) Texting

Texting and playing with your phone in general while on a date is being rude to the other person. It can also definitely give the impression that you are disinterested even if that is not the case.

2) Staring at other people

If you are on a date and you are at a public place and you stare at the strangers surrounding you, never giving your date eye contact, this can lead them to believe that you are bored with their company. Also, flirting of any kind with other individuals while on a date is an obvious no-no. Actually, that is grounds for the date to end.

3) Too much affection too soon

Some people are not into holding hands, snuggling and hugging too soon. So if you have just started dating this person do not assume that they will be comfortable with this type of affection right away. Although this may be your way of demonstrating that you are into them and are enjoying their company. It may prove to have the opposite effect with them.

4) Not letting the other person talk

No one wants to sit and hear you talk about yourself for two to three hours. Allow the other person the opportunity to chime in and share information about them as well.  Not allowing them into the flow of the conversation might make them assume that you are not interested in them enough to care to learn more about them.

5) Talking to friends

Sometimes while we are on dates we might see an old friend or a colleague and of course your natural reaction is to want to wave and maybe have a conversation with them. That is fine but do not allow the excitement of seeing an old friend make you forget about the fact that you are on a date.

Cut The Comparisons. Stop Worrying About Other Girls

6) Avoiding eye contact

Just as giving too much eye contact to other people on a date can be a turn off so can avoiding eye contact with the person you are on a date with. The purpose of a date is to give this one individual attention and the opportunity to get to know you better. This cannot be done if you spend the whole time staring down or if you are a guy, staring at your date’s breasts.
