I definitely have to take the time to show respect for a guy that I grew up watching, emulating, & had a lot of luv for, & that’s the “American Dream” Dusty Rhodes!! He passed away today at age 69. I’m a HUGE wrestling fan, & growing up the NWA was my favorite promotion. Not to mention Crockett promotions was based right here, right out of Charlotte! I had the pleasure of meeting Dusty coming out of the Crockett building (yes, me & my homies would stalk the building hoping to see somebody….so did everybody else) & he signed a Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazine for me! Of course I’ve seen him in action, my favorite match was at “The Great American Bash” LIVE at Memorial Stadium…..that was classic! Also, when it came to talking on the mic, he was definitely in the top 5 of all time. So a big R.I.P. shout to “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes, you’ll be missed brotha! Funky like a monkay if you will!! I’m OUT!
