Black women have emerged triumphant in May’s official unemployment data, with a decrease of 10 per cent in unemployment from 13.7 per cent in April to 12.4 per cent in May.

VIA CHARLOTTE OBSERVER The state’s unemployment rate declined from 11.1 percent in March to 10.8 percent in April. Professional, business services and government jobs showed improvement. Leisure and hospitaly business declined by 3,100 jobs.
