It is with a very heavy heart that we report that rock star, David Bowie, passed away Sunday at the age of 69.  Bowie had been battling cancer after being diagnosed 18 months ago.  He is survived by his wife, Iman and two children.

Natalie Cole, legendary R&B singer and daughter of Nat King Cole, died at a Los Angeles hospital on New Years Day.

Kimberly Tippett, and her son, Kamyrn Cain, were traveling along Interstate 30 in Garland, Texas when the twister crossed the packed highway and struck her vehicle and several others. Tippett, who lived in Plano, is the mother of two daughters who weren't present during the incident.

Meadowlark Lemon, the humorous Harlem Globetrotter who was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2003, died at his home Sunday in Scottsdale, Ariz., reports the New York Daily News. He was 83.
