As I was doing my normal Facebook thing this morning, I ran across a post by Charlotte Creative Loafing’s super talented, fabulous and handsome (I embellished a little) editor Carlton Hargro. Carlton says he didn’t realize that Beyonce’s “Irreplaceable” and Erykah Badu’s “Tyrone” were about a woman “evicting” her man. He wanted his FB family to share other songs that shared a similar message. Note: I purposely didn’t comment on the fact that Carlton had to be stuck under a rock not to realize the message behind these songs. I loved the idea and decided I would make a playlist of the song suggestions – and I few I added of my own. Check out the playlist and share your favorites. If your favorite isn’t included, we will add it.
This comes just in time for the New Year … get rid of old baggage and start the new year just right.
