No one likes going to the ER, but a new app will make things easier at Carolinas HealthCare System. Each CHS hospital is now making public the average wait times for 11 of its Charlotte-area emergency rooms. The times are available on websites, mobile devices and by telephone.
The hospital’s website displays the current wait time for its emergency room and is updated every 15 minutes. Wait times are also available at http://www.cmcwaittimes.org.
Internet-enabled wireless devices can access ER waiting times at http://www.iTriagehealth.com. Apps for iPhone and Android users are free at each device’s app store. By telephone, call the CMC Connect Line at 704-355-7500 or 800-821-1535.
