This week NBC’s Megan Kelly caught those Twitter paws over her insensitive remarks about “Blackface.” Social media, appropriately, called her out.
We are familiar with the offensiveness and racial stereotyping of ‘Blackface’ stemming back to the days of Minstrel shows and “Amos and Andy Show.” But, did you know that ‘Yellowface” also exists?
According to a Buzzfeed, Hollywood has been just as demeaning in its casting of White actors in Asian roles, as it has of putting European actors in Black roles and coloring their skin.
