I woke up this morning with Usher on the brain (please, don’t tell Chilli or Tameka) and decided he would be this week’s Flashback Friday.
I remember when my friend Tamika Fisher Gaskins introduced me to the then 14-year old baby faced singer. I had no clue who he was, but that would change in a matter of years. No long after being introduced to him, he faded from the scene, but when he returned he was an older, sexier Usher and I was hooked – and it wasn’t just the music that had me that way.
“You Make Me Wanna” is probably one of my favorite Usher songs outside of the ENTIRE Confessions album.
My love for Usher died when he married Tameka. Somehow he lost his sexy then … and unfortunately, he hasn’t regained it. But at least we have classic music from the baby face little guy that started out way back when.
