Every distinguished gentleman possesses an internal voice that communicates confidence & self-assuredness to his character. There is nothing uncertain or doubtful about his nature. He has full trust & command of his abilities. And he dresses the part. It may surprise some of you (or not), but I was not always the type of gentleman for whom I am speaking of. You know, women are usually stuck with a stigma of being overly self-conscious about their appearance.

However, I would like to inform you that gentlemen can be just as unsure about their presentation and capabilities to dress well too. There exists a sort of sartorial psychology to the whole elegance thing.

Sharp & smart style is befitting of every gentleman, no matter what particular dimension he may be. Regardless of varying weight or height, any gentleman can attire himself intelligently to maximum a well-dressed appearance. Today, I would like to focus a little attention to gentlemen who exactly might not qualify for the NBA. Here are few things to keep in mind when making smart decisions about your wardrobe. Remember, the devil is in the details. The reason John Legend always looks great is because he recognizes the minute sartorial details that comprise the elegant whole. Giving a little attention to these small details will put you on your way to a handsome and polished presentation.

1. Bite the style bullet and demonstrate some honesty with yourself. You are a gentleman of minimal height. Look, I can stand to lose a few pounds; but I dress in a fashion suitable for my shape. Such is the way a gentleman should dress to complement his height.

2. Suits arrive regular, long, and short. Opt for the short. Bigger suits will only heighten the awareness of your short stature. Select either one or two-button suits (preferably two) with a moderately low button stance. A myriad of suit buttons that are situated high on the chest will do your height no favors.

3. Accentuate the length of your arm and flash a little dress shirt cuff. How much? A quarter to half of an inch places the gentleman in safe territory.

4. Watch the break in your trouser length. Too much break and your pants will pool around your ankles and make you appear shorter. Extend the line of your leg by losing the trouser cuffs and opting for a minimal break in your pants. A one inch break is safe, but be careful because flashing your ankles while walking (floods) will surely elicit a few chuckles.

5. Subtle vertical stripes never hurt anyone. It slims the silhouette and makes you look taller. V neck sweaters are also great for extending the line of the body.
