In less than a month, Charlotte’s newest and baddest old school R&B station has blazed a trail in Charlotte’s radio market. Old School has already garnered 60 percent more listeners than My92.7. It’s also impacting stations with similar formats. Radio One executives expect the Old School 105.3, which boasts a strong signal, to gain even more listeners now that Praise Charlotte is simulcast on My92.7’s old frequency. Old School 105.3 features favorite artists such as Anita Baker and Luther Vandross.
“I have been involved with launching many new stations in my career and this looks impressive,” said Regional Vice President Gary Weiss. “We don’t know how big this thing will get!”
