Crash on I-77 in Mecklenburg County Leaves 12 Hurt
Twelve people were injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 77 South in Mecklenburg County Wednesday afternoon, emergency officials said. The crash occurred around noon near mile marker 30 in Davidson, according to WBTV. All injuries were reported as minor, but the incident prompted a large emergency response, including several ambulances and a mass casualty bus. Eight of the injured were transported to nearby hospitals for further evaluation. The North Carolina Department of Transportation reported that one lane remains closed, and drivers are advised to use alternate routes while crews clear the scene.
