Blacks Represent At Tony Awards

The Tony Awards recognized two black productions at the 64th annual event at Radio City Hall last night. Denzel Washington took home best actor and Viola Davis won best actress for their roles in the August Wilson play “Fences.” Choreographer Bill T. Jones won a Tony for best choreogrpahy for the musical“Fela! The Musical.” “Fela!” also won best sound design of a musical. Co-producers Will and Jada Pinkett Smith introduced Fela!’s musical number during the award show.
