Shopping at Walmart could be good for your health!
Walmart is kicking off our commitment to wellness by holding America’s Biggest Health Fair on Saturday, Oct. 10 from noon to 4 pm in more than 4,400 stores across the U.S. During the event, stores that have pharmacies will offer customers the opportunity to receive FREE blood glucose, blood pressure, vision screenings, as well as immunizations administered by Walmart’s more than 30,000 licensed pharmacists.
The screenings, which take an average of seven minutes to complete, have proven to be highly valuable to many customers who may have otherwise gone undiagnosed for diabetes and high blood pressure.
Also, Walmart’s customer open enrollment program, Healthcare Begins Here, will be available Oct. 15, 2015 through Jan. 31, 2016 in more than 2,400 Walmart stores, online and via phone. For the second year, we are teaming up with DirectHealth.com, a licensed health insurance agency, to help customers identify their health insurance needs, compare coverage options and enroll in the plan that is right for them.
