I think we can all agree that even though it’s not 2016 yet, we’re all knee-deep into “political season.” (Scroll through your Facebook news feed if in doubt.) Former president and potential first “First Gentleman” of the United States Bill Clinton sat down at CNN’s “State of the Union” which will air later today discussed the 2016 elections. Apart from discussing his wife’s campaign and of course promoting some of her perspectives and leadership, Clinton also talked about the opposition party candidates, at one point referring to them as, “impressive.”

Of course the reference did not come without some jabs, with Clinton saying that the GOP candidates currently running are, “true to their convictions even against all the evidence.” But the former president also went on to talk about how the opposition is filled with people are most certainly not dummies. He also went on to talk about how Republicans tend to vote in the primaries – which he deemed is for the most electable candidate. But that knowing the most electable candidate in this case might be particularly difficult for Republican voters.

Meanwhile, Hilary Clinton was kicking off her campaign in the FDR tradition with a large rally in New York City’s Roosevelt Island on Saturday, where she jokingly commented that she would be America’s youngest female president.

What do you think about Hilary’s campaign? And Bill’s comments? (And is all of this just strategy, strategy, strategy?)
