A body that has been recovered is possibly the body of missing teacher Bianca Tanner was found lastnight in southwest Charlotte resulted in the teacher’s boyfriend to be arrested and charged in the case, Charlotte-Mecklenburg police Chief Rodney Monroe has stated.

According to the Charlotte Observer,  Monroe said Thursday morning that ” a body was discovered after a search in a wooded area off Shopton Road near Westinghouse Boulevard.”

Angelo Grayson Smith Jr., Tanner’s boyfriend, was arrested early Thursday and will be charged with murder in 21 day case.

Tanner has been missing since June 8. Monroe revealed that  CMPD detectives had received tips in the investigation that issued a search early Thursday in a wooded area near 10400 block of Calico Crossing Lane.

N.C. Medical Examiner’s Office will be determining if the body found is in fact Tanner.
