As I considered all the troubles of the week, I realized that in every situation I barreled out of the door daily on my own steam and decision making power. I never stopped to pray, ask or seek direction. I just charged off on my own.

Life has shown me better and I have the testimonies to prove it. What was I thinking? Proverbs 3:5-6, simply says, “Trust in the Lord in all you do, lean not upon your own understanding, Seek His will in everything you do, and He will direct your path.”

Isn’t it funny how we can follow to the letter policies and procedures in other areas of our life such as business or school, yet in our day to day so often we forget the tools and instruction of the very tool we have in the scriptures.

One of my favorite scriptures, Jeremiah 29:11 tells me that the Lord already knows the plans that are for me, to prosper me and not harm me but to bring me hope and a future.

The good news is that because all the things I wanted to work did not, it pushed me in a direction that ended up bringing even better results that I could not have possibly obtained on my own.

It’s good to know that even in the midst of my mess, the One who knows what is best for my life, was waiting for me with arms wide open to show me the way.
