The Hip Hop Caucus, a national, nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that engages young people in urban communities in elections, policy making and community service projects led by Rev. Lennox Yearwood, is hosting two Speak Out events this week.  The first event will be held tomorrow at Johnson C. Smith University at 7:30 pm.  The second event will be held Thursday at Livingstone College.  Details on each event are below.

The Speak Out events are designed to address student and community concerns in North Carolina about jobs, the economy, and environmental health are bringing together a diverse set of residents, including students, business, and technology leaders to Johnson C. Smith and Livingstone College for a Hip Hop Caucus “One Planet. One Voice.” Speak Out.  The Speak Out event is a part of a series of six Speak Outs that will occur over the next three weeks on Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) campuses in North Carolina.  The Speak Outs aim to energize and elevate solution-oriented discourse to the related challenges of poverty and pollution across the state.
