At the Tuesday Morning Breakfast Forum, Mayor Anthony Foxx, who marked his 100th day in office on Tuesday, responded to concerns that he wasn’t focused enough on the problems that affect Charlotte’s black population. It’s a similar criticism being leveled at President Obama.
Should black elected officials be expected to focus on problems affecting black people? Why or why not?
