On-campus protests against controversial Breitbart News editor Milo Yiannopoulos have turned violent at University of California, Berkeley on Wednesday with more than 1,000 people met by police with tear gas. Yiannopoulos was scheduled to speak at the university.

Texas A&M officials apologized to black and Latino high school students who were racially taunted while touring the campus. Meanwhile, the university's students have launched a letter writing campaign to say the incident doesn't reflect the school's character.
