I am a bonafide Chrisette Michele fan. I loved her voice on Jay-Z’s “Lost One,” but became a true fan when her first album, “I Am,” was released.  I was so crazy about the CD that I sent an email to all my friends telling them about the album and why I loved it so much. I went on to frame the album cover and reach out to the record exec who was handling her marketing at the time. I had an idea for a project for women that I wanted to work with them to execute around the nation.  While it didn’t work out … I did grab a few friends who have now become fans as well.

When Chrisette’s second album was released, I still loved her … but I felt the album was commercial.  I didn’t feel her soul in the songs as I had on “I Am.” Well, I can honestly say that Miss Chrissy has come back to her roots.  She is bearing her soul on this album and the quirky Chrisette that made me love her on “I Am” is back. She has again come with anthems for women that promote self-love and respect. Some of my favorite tracks on the album are “I’m A Star,” “Goodbye Game,” “I Don’t Know Why, But I Do.”

“Let Freedom Reign” hits stores tomorrow.

Check out a preview of the album and let us know what you think about it.  Do you think Chrisette’s new album is a banger or not so much?
