Women raised their hands in the air in praise, laughed and tossed out a few “Amens” during the four hours of inspiration known as the “Yolanda Adams Show.”

Adams broadcast her show live from the Charlotte Convention Center as part of the Ford Fan Experience this morning. Several hundred fans filled the center to see Adams, Brother Larry and the rest of the crew.

They punctuated the broadcast with interviews by CIAA commissioner Leon Kerry, CMPD Chief Rodney Monroe and Praise 100’s own Melanie Clark. (Yay Mel!) Charlotte’s own Stephanie Mills performed as well as Maurette Brown Clark.

One of highlight’s was Earnest Pugh’s soul stirring performance of “Rain on Us.” He brought the energy: stomping and emoting, but the audience had even more spirit. Several women did interpretive moves: emulating falling rain, raising their hands to the sky and singing with as much fervor as Pugh.

The show was an inspirational way to start the morning.
