Pressha got his start as a part of the group Southsyde B.O.I.Z., which had a minor hit with “Get Ready Here It Comes (Choo Choo)” before he had his only hit single as a solo artist in 1998.

“Splackavellie” was featured on the soundtrack to the Ice Cube film The Player’s Club.  The song is about the kind of man that a woman uses solely for her own sexual pleasure without all of the added complications of being in a relationship.

The song was a top 40 hit, reaching number 27 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart and number 14 on the R&B charts.

“Splackavellie” would be Pressha’s only hit single as a solo artist.  His album, Don’t Get It Twisted, was a commercial and critical failure.
