MLS to Unveil Major News in Charlotte Wednesday
Charlotte is set for a major announcement from Major League Soccer on Wednesday morning. MLS Commissioner Don Garber will reveal the news at a 10:15 a.m. event at Bank of America Stadium, joined by prominent city and sports leaders. According to WCNC, expected attendees include David and Nicole Tepper of Tepper Sports & Entertainment, CEO Kristi Coleman, Mayor Vi Lyles, N.C. Secretary of Commerce Lee Lilley, and Charlotte Sports Foundation Co-Chair Johnny Harris. The announcement follows Charlotte’s recent spotlight on the global soccer scene, including a FIFA Club World Cup match at the stadium between Benfica and Bayern Munich just weeks ago.
