What to Know for the Big Race at Charlotte Motor Speedway

The Coca-Cola 600 returns to Charlotte Motor Speedway this Memorial Day weekend, bringing three days of racing and entertainment to the region.
One of NASCAR’s crown jewel events, the 400-lap, 600-mile race is the longest on the calendar and often stretches past four hours. According to WBTV, this year’s race is set for Sunday, May 25, with the green flag scheduled to drop at 6 p.m.
The main event will cap off a full weekend of activities beginning Friday and continuing through Saturday. The speedway, located off Concord Parkway South near Morehead Road in Concord, will host several fan events, and more leading up to race day.
