Antriece Mitchell has filed a complaint against Fahrenheit, a popular Uptown restaurant, after she and her party were allegedly denied outdoor seating in October 2024.
According to WBTV, Mitchell, who was celebrating a Sweet 16 birthday on Oct. 19, mentioned that her group of 10 was asked to leave after being told they were taking too long to order. She believes the treatment was racially motivated, claiming she was singled out because of the color of her skin.
The city of Charlotte has launched an investigation into the matter, but officials say it could take up to 100 days to complete. Mitchell, who has since hired a lawyer, is seeking justice for what she describes as poor treatment during her celebration.
