Speedway Children’s Charities (SCC), the philanthropic arm of Speedway Motorsports, has announced a record $4,088,951 in grants to nonprofits across the country in 2024. This includes $170,650 raised through efforts at North Wilkesboro Speedway and Bristol Motor Speedway to assist children affected by Hurricane Helene.
Founded in 1982 by Speedway Motorsports founder Bruton Smith, SCC has focused on helping children in need for over 42 years. To date, the charity has raised more than $72.7 million across its 11 chapters nationwide. According to WCCB, in 2024, SCC granted funds to 426 organizations, collectively reaching more than 363,000 children in need. These grants support a wide range of essential services, from education and medical care to food assistance and human trafficking prevention.
SCC raises funds year-round through a variety of events at Speedway Motorsports facilities, including charity galas, golf tournaments, ride-along experiences, and raffles. These initiatives bring communities together while providing critical resources for children across the nation.
