Hornets Forward Grant Williams Out for Season Due to ACL Tear

Charlotte Hornets forward Grant Williams will be sidelined indefinitely after suffering a torn ACL in his right knee, the team announced.
According to WBTV, Williams sustained the injury late in the fourth quarter of the Hornets’ recent game against the Milwaukee Bucks and will undergo further evaluation.

The Charlotte native has played in 16 games this season, making seven starts. He is averaging 10.3 points, 5.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.1 steals in 29.9 minutes per game. Williams, a product of Providence Day School, was drafted by the Boston Celtics in 2019.
