Most of us leave our jobs quietly and humbly. We get fired and slink out the door with whatever we can carry. We get laid off and slink out the door with memories. We take a buyout and sasshay out the door with whatever we want to carry and promises to keep in touch.
Well Steven Slater, a flight attendant for JetBlue, quit with style and flair. His rant on the intercom is already legendary (cursing out a passenger). His departure the stuff of action movies (sliding down the emergency chute with a beer and his luggage). Read more about it here.
But Slater isn’t the only person gaining Internet popularity for quitting. An anonymous woman quit her job by emailing photographs of her farewell to her boss on a dry erase board to company employees. It’s hilarious, and a good bet she won’t be unemployed for long.
