One of NASCAR’s most iconic numbers and paint schemes is set to return to the racetrack this November. Dale Earnhardt Jr. will revive his famous red No. 8 Chevrolet during the South Carolina 400 at Florence Motor Speedway on Saturday, November 23.

Reuniting with Budweiser, the paint scheme honors the early years of Earnhardt’s Cup Series career, when he drove for his late father’s team, Dale Earnhardt Inc. According to WBTV, in May, Earnhardt applied for the trademark of the round No. 8 after the rights lapsed, which had previously been held by Teresa Earnhardt, the widow of Dale Earnhardt Sr.

Following the race in Florence, the 26-time Cup winner will drive the red Budweiser car in select Late Model Stock Car races throughout 2024 and 2025. Longtime sponsors Sun Drop and Bass Pro Shops will also feature on the car, marking their return to Earnhardt’s late models.
