Evacuations Ordered in Mecklenburg County Amid Flooding

Three areas in the Charlotte region are currently under evacuation orders, as reported by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Office of Emergency Management. Mandatory evacuations affect Riverside Drive, Lake Drive, Riverhaven Drive, and parts of Beagle Club and Hart Roads near Mountain Island Lake. Additionally, a voluntary evacuation has been issued for areas near Allison Ferry Road, Arthur Auten Drive, Drake Cove Road, Neck Road, Ballypat Lane, Johnson David Road, and Latta Springs. According to WCNC, officials urge residents along the shorelines of Lake Norman, Mountain Island Lake, the Catawba River, and Lake Wylie to stay alert for rising water levels.
