Singer, songwriter, actor, and former radio host Yolanda Adams stopped by to chat about her highly anticipated new album, “Sunny Days,” her first studio release in 13 years! During the visit, she shared way more than just music, diving into her role as Denita Jordan on BET’s “Kingdom Business.”
“Danita is a lot not like me. So there are certain things that you know we have in common, the gospel music industry and all of that kind of stuff. But she’s like mean. But I knew that that would make me stretch right as an actor artist.”
The gospel legend opened up about how the Lord has blessed her journey and even offered some heartwarming advice to Olympia on navigating life as an empty nester.
In addition to her album and acting, Yolanda is also hitting the road for the Reunion Tour, alongside gospel greats like Kirk Franklin, Fred Hammond, Marvin Sapp, and many more!
“We’re so grateful that after all of these years, people still want to come and hear the music.”
Adams hasn’t released a studio album in 13 years, but she’s remained active with other projects and involved in her daughter’s life. Her new single “Church Doors” debuted at #9 on the Billboard Charts.” and exceeded her expectations.
“We’re talking about Billboard of the world Top 10. And so after not being on the charts with my own stuff in years, it was like, wow. And it’s steady going up and going up.”
