Charlotte Summer Camp Focuses on Guiding At-Risk Youth

This week, Meck Investment Company is hosting its annual “Impact Camp” at Johnson C. Smith University, aimed at empowering youth from diverse backgrounds. According to WCNC, the camp focuses on mentorship, career education, and inspiring 250 boys from at-risk communities to explore future opportunities.
Open to families in affordable housing programs and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, the camp features guest speakers from local businesses, CMPD, and NASCAR, who educate participants on various career paths. Executive Director Shawn Kennedy emphasized the camp’s goal of making a positive impact on children’s futures, regardless of their backgrounds.
