Charlotte Knights Help Bring Free Dental Care For Youth

Dentsply Sirona, the world’s largest manufacturer of dental products and technologies, has announced its collaboration with TeamSmile to host a free dental clinic for underprivileged youth in Charlotte. Scheduled for Friday, July 26 at 8 a.m. at Truist Field, the clinic will offer no-cost dental care and a chance to meet Homer the Dragon, the Charlotte Knights’ Official Mascot. Dentsply Sirona employees will volunteer at the event. According to WCCB, in 2022, nearly 200 Charlotte-area youth benefited from similar services, with expectations for a similar turnout this year, including youth from local Boys and Girls Clubs and other organizations. Attendees can also enjoy face painting alongside dental check-ups, treatment, and oral health education. Community members interested in volunteering can sign up online through TeamSmile.
