VIA Charlotte Observer

CIAA and other party promoters will need to find a new location for their parties. The restaurant Zink is closing Saturday. Harper group owner Tom Sasser told the Observer the space was purchased for non-restaurant use. He said the restaurant was successful, but the sale was a good business move.

“We are working with two groups for another location in Uptown or Southpark to carry on the Zink tradition in a new space. We would like to thank our great associates and guests for their loyal support over the years. We hope our friends will stop by this last week to enjoy great New American food and drink from Executive Chef Jon Fortes and the team and let us say goodbye.”

That’s great for the people at Harpers, but the closure of Zink means promoters have one less place to host events during the CI and other big weekends.
