The cooling center is made possible by the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Emergency Management office in cooperation with the American Red Cross and Charltte-Mecklenburg Schools. The agencies are reminding people to drink plenty of fluids, avoid exposure to the sun and be sure to check up on their family and friends.
