The Urban League of the Carolinas prepares men and women to enter the workforce, but many of the male students don’t own professional clothes. Jazz promoter and Urban League outreach promoter Tammy Greene is holding a men’s clothing drive to help clothe male students.
“Suiting Up For Success” will be collecting new and gently used professional menswear. The goal is to collect 700 suits at various collection points throughout the city. Donors can drop off new or gently used menswear at the following locations:
August 2-6 Urban League of Central Carolinas, 740 W 5th Street (9 a.m. -4 p.m.)
August 2-6 The Omega Fraternity House, 3301 Statesville Ave (6 p.m.-8 p.m.)
August 7 The Omega Fraternity House, 3301 Statesville Ave (9 a.m.-12 noon)
