May of 2019 has not been a good month for two of the most powerful men in Hollywood: Steve Harvey and Lee Daniels.
Harvey lost his gig as host of NBC’s ‘Little Big Shots’ while his long-running talk show got cancelled after seven years, including a retooling and relocation from Chicago to Los Angeles.
Daniels saw Fox cancel ‘Star’ after three seasons, right before the network announced ‘Empire’ was ending after next fall’s sixth season. Both moves come while ‘Empire’ co-star Jussie Smollett is still facing backlash and legal issues regarding his attack in Chicago.
With both men losing gigs and shows in a short period of time, people would assume that a certain individual would be glad, and even celebrating, over their misfortune.
That individual happens to be Mo’Nique.
The actress-comedian has had issues with both Harvey and Daniels that have been well-documented and publicized. The two men have each criticized her for not “playing the game.”
Social media even took advantage of connecting the three together:
Now Mo’Nique, along with her husband Sidney Hicks, has issued a response on Facebook Watch to not only the social media memes and gifs, but also Daniels and Harvey, and setting the record straight on celebrating their misery.
