The focus on Mental Health is critically important if, as a nation we’re going to eradicate the stigma associated with mental illness. Despite the millions of dollars allocated to treatment mental illness, it’s the stigma of having depression, bi-polar disorder, schizophrenia and the myriad of mental challenges that undermine treatment efforts.  For decades however, Monarch Health Services has been on the front lines giving families hope and people with mental illness and opportunity to live a productive life – especially as it relates to young people.  ‘COMMUNITY VOICES’ host, Ron Holland delved into this important issue with Dr. Chalyce Smith, Licensed Psychologist at Monarch’s SECU Youth Crisis Center and Derrick Jordan, Vice President of Operations for Monarch Health Services.
