We know that Mariah can sing, but, can she take on being an activist, too?
Mariah Carey is set to perform in Saudi Arabia soon, but, Saudi women are asking her to cancel the show to support for the rights of detained female activists.
Publicists for Carey said that when “presented with the offer to perform for an international and mixed gender audience in Saudi Arabia, Mariah accepted the opportunity as a positive step towards the dissolution of gender segregation.”
However, the Saudi ladies are not buying that line and say that Mariah’s concert is just an attempt by the government to improve their image after the killing to reporter, Jamal Khashoggi inside the Saudi Consulate last October.
