Happy Birthday to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday!

The civil rights leader was born in Atlanta, Georgia and led the Civil Rights Movement during the 1950s and ‘60s up until he was slain by an assassin on April 4, 1968.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a federal holiday held on the third Monday of January each year.
