Who loves the movie “Lean On Me?” Everybody!
Well, there’s good news for the fans!
LeBron James has partnered with John Legend and writer, Wendy Calhoun, to bring Lean On Me to television!
Inspired by the classic 1989 film, which starred Morgan Freeman as the school principal, Joe Clark, the show will center on a young Black female teacher who’s hired to be the principal at a struggling Akron high school.
Like the original movie, the show will reportedly detail how the system regularly fails kids of color, and teacher have to overcome a slew of obstacles to help the students succeed.
