Netflix has canceled their Marvel show Luke Cage, Deadline reports.

“Unfortunately, Marvel’s Luke Cage will not return for a third season,” Marvel and Netflix said, per Deadline. “Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is grateful to the dedicated showrunner, writers, cast and crew who brought Harlem’s Hero to life for the past two seasons, and to all the fans who have supported the series.”

Variety reports a source as saying talks for a third season of Luke Cage occurred but eventually fell through. The reasoning? According to Deadline it was due to “creative differences.” The series starred Mike Colter in the titular role, Mahershala Ali as Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes, Simone Missick as Misty Knight, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, Alfre Woodard as Mariah Dillard, Theo Rossi as Hernan “Shades” Alvarez, Gabrielle Dennis as Tilda Johnson, and Mustafa Shakir as John “Bushmaster” McIver.
