Cultural icon, Bill Cosby will be housed in a single cell near the infirmary inside of the SCI Phoenix in Skippack, Montgomery County. Cosby, formerly “America’s Favorite Dad” will serve a 3-10 year prison sentence for three counts of aggravated indecent assault.
His case is the first celebrity trial of the #MeToo era that has ended in jail time.
How does that make you feel?
Honestly, I’m surprised to say that I feel a little torn, in a completely illogical way. As a woman who has dealt with sexual assault on a personal basis, I feel a little sad about this whole situation with Bill Cosby. I’m disappointed with him. He betrayed the trust of the women that he drugged, but, he also disappointed me and millions of other woman with his actions. Cosby’s just another “nasty uncle” that someone has had to fend off to protect themselves.
I’m glad that he’s going to jail. I’m glad that someone told their story. I’m glad that someone listened…finally.
