Reportedly, there are 17,000 people in shelters in Texas, as a result of Hurricane Harvey. Many people are wondering how and when mega churches like Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church is going to open it’s doors? In a statement quoted by ABC News Osteen said,”We will continue to be a distribution center to those in need. We are prepared to house people once shelters reach capacity. Lakewood will be a value to the community in the aftermath of this storm.” However, many are still wondering why won’t the church open it’s doors! Should the church open it’s doors to flood victims and evacuees?
