A host of organizations are collaborating to provide free backpacks and other supplies for the upcoming school year. But the August 19th event is more than pencils, bags and free food, it’s also about hope. Team Trublue, led by Charles Robinson is determined to provide today’s youth an opportunity to pursue dreams and achieve goals. In conjunction with paving the way for academic success, Robinson’s objective and that of his organization is to stop violence in a community already beset by a host of challenges. ‘COMMUNITY VOICES’ host, Ron Holland talked with Charles Robinson about the mission of Team Trublue and his 9th annual Free Backpack giveaway event.
