5. On & On: Ms. Badu came on to scene in 1997 and blessed us with a new type of sound. From there, we would hooked and wanted to know what was coming next from the neo-soul goddess.
4. Tyrone- “I’m an artist and I’m sensitive about my ish.” Yes….one of the many anthems that women sing to this day. Badu belted this hit out on a whim and it became a hit. Erykah made this song while on tour for her debut album, Baduizm, which also released as a Live album.
3. Other Side Of The Game- Erykah revealed her relationship with Andre’ 3000 and towards the end of the video, she showed us her growing baby bump of her now adult son Seven Sirius Benjamin with the rapper.
2. Bag Lady- The video was simple but effective. Erykah’s message behind the song showcased how much baggage women carry in their lives at times to fit in or to be better themselves.
1. Window Seat- *GASPS* Erykah Badu caused so much controversy with this video. The moment we saw her take off her jacket and ended with taking off her pants, we were all like…..DID SHE JUST DO THAT?!?!? Yes…she did.
