This year, tax payers got a few extra days to file their taxes.  April 15th is traditionally the deadline.  However, due to the Emancipation Day holiday, which was Sunday, April 16th which was also Easter Sunday,  the official D.C. observation was pushed to Monday, April 17th.  That means that the IRS office is closed today (Monday), and your tax deadline has been pushed to Tuesday, April 18.  So, take advantage of the extension and get your taxes done on time!
