In what was (in my opinion) the greatest World Series EVER the Chicago Cubs defeated the Cleveland Indians 8-7 to become the “2016 World Champions!” I’m not a Cubs fan, but I’m extremely happy for all the fans who have waited 108 years for this day! Shouts to Theo Epstein, the General Manager of the Cubs organization (who came from the Boston Red Sox & helped them win & break their curse) who put together a stellar group talented guys (Bryant, Rizzo, Zobrist, Lester, Chapman, etc.). The ‘Curse of the Billy Goat’ is dead & gone, & by the looks of things these guys could be right back in the thick of things next year! Congratulations Cubs!! Enjoy your moment!!!
