The Walk of Hearts is Dahrnaz Tigner‘s personal mission to raise awareness of childhood obesity. He and his brother, Minnesota Viking’s Jabari Price, were inspired by their younger sister Jade who struggles with obesity and First Lady’s Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” initiative. He talks to the Tom Joyner Morning Show about his journey of walking 1,300 miles from South Florida to the White House.

“I’m in Richmond, Virginia and I’ve been walking 55 days. The goal is to get DC to get Michelle Obama to walk the last mile with me. My sister struggled with obesity so I knew I had to do something to inspire her. I did my research and realized how big of a problem it really was,” Tigner said.
